Here is a graduation present I just finished for a close friends daughter! She loves Nightmare Before Christmas almost as much as I do, so I decided to put my halloween craft skills to use and fabricate her something cool My girlfriend bought about ten hair bows to give as a present and it was my task in making something that could hold them. Some of the bows were also Nightmare Before Christmas themed, so it worked out pretty well.

I made a toe pincher coffin jewelry box and lined it with purple velvet fabric. The box and coffin were both painted with acrylic craft paint I purchased at Michaels. The color is Royal Violet and the brand is PLAID. On the box I used a pink craft paint pen to free hand the spiral designs because using craft paint was WAY too difficult. I used plywood to make both items because I wanted something more permanent, but the effect could still be achieved using wrapping paper if needed! I also cut pieces out of thinner plywood to make the skulls.









I made a box like this for my Girlfriend last year and while it is more like a small trunk it has come in handy storing all our Christmas items! I think I'm going to make a set and use them as storage containers This isn't exactly Halloweenie, but I do like to bring Halloween elements into all my Holidays and this works for presents, having around the house and sprucing up Christmas displays too!

Gorgeous! I adore the coffin and the box! Every time I ride Haunted Mansion Holiday, I always want to have tons of those boxes stacked around my Halloween setup. I can picture 100 of the boxes, painted different colors, all around. Sigh. Now to find the time to do it all!

But I digress, I LOVE what you've made.
