Thread: TNBC Holiday Tree background help...

Painted TNBC holiday trees..not overly artistic..but works =) ..however stuck on what color I should make the background... thinking green at the bottom, fading up to navy blue up the top??

Cute idea!! Now that you have practiced.... you can send these my way and make better one's for yourself..
What did you paint them on?

In the movie it's an autum scene so I would go with deep oranges, bright and muted yellows, and a dash of green here and there at the bottom. I would pretty much leave the coloring as is at the top since it is dawn and the sky is very bright. Just my two cents, awesome job on those paintings

wow those are great! I paint as well. Pictures about the same size so that's very cool. Great idea. I have to agree with the autumn colors as well. Looks great though!

slowly adding some more color, will post pictures when its done/needs more feedback =)

Here's one person's take on it. Seems kinda brown and muted so that the doors themselves stand out.



Here's the one from the actual movie. Its kinda just brown with lots of long lines and shadows. Hope this helps.
