well, yesterday while going for a walk (yes, surprise, actually exercising)- I saw a tree with , for a lack of a better term, spines on it, they were from 1 -5 inches long with large thorns ,all the way up the trunk, so thought, - gotta have them for a potion bottle , then while rummaging trhough the woods/field around the trees saw these red/black/brownish pod things, the are about a inch to inch and a half wide by 3-8 inches long. so grabbed some of those, then I saw on the top of some long grassy things, these round pod things ,about a inch in diameter, in shades of cream and brown, so grabbed them,
So, now, the help I could use is ideas of what to call them, the thorny spike things, the long seed pods and the round seed pods, I came up with (from HArry Potter) Blood Blisterpod for the long seed pods, but am not sure, any input would be SO much appreciated
Over the past week I have made 8 potion bottles, , plus have several waiting to be filled,
Thank you so much in advance!!!!!!!!

I quite frankly love the Blood Blisterpod name. Let me grind my gears this morning and see what I can think of for the others.

There is actually a plant called "Devil's Thorn". You could use that or something like "Rabid Porcupine Quills".. (just a couple thoughts off the top of my head)
I also like "Bloodblister Pod"

Love the names already suggested. Not sure if any of my labels would help out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/loveman...7602788222231/

Thanks, JohnnyL. love your labels, dead man's toes is great, complete with a pie recipe!! LOL! fabulous!! love the toad stool clippings and twisted twigs too!! thanks so much - I will be returning to look at them often, great detail on all of them too! (love the toadstool and dead mans toes so much will be looking for ingredients just so I do those!! )
mine are much more "rustic" for lack of a better work, or maybe primitive is the word I am looking for.
Kymmm, love the devils thorn, the quill is a good idea, but the thorns are actually on a small twig like thing with about 1/2 to 1 inch thorns sticking off them, and they HURT!! trying to get them off the tree got poked several times, was supposed to be walking, not cutting thorns off of trees so was not prepared, ( thorns in the pocket of a jacket also hurt!! )will go back later with the right tools to get more!!
still not sure about the round pod, thought again of Harry Potter and Puffalapod, or some such thing, not sure though-
seeing as every one likes the blood blisterpod - that is what it is going to be!
thanks for the help guys, your ideas help mine to start flowing!!!!I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!
