Hello all. This is my first thread on this site... and what a great site it is.. I am enjoying looking at all the art work of everyone. I thought I would bring something to the Halloween/horror table as well.
This is some of my horror art. I'll just write a brief description of each thing.
I kind of have my own way of doing things.. That being I don't know what I am doing ..lol... I just keep doing trial and error until it looks right to me.
Pics 1 and 2 is Josephine. A life size zombie woman. It is 5 feet tall. I recently completed this project after 2 months of work. These are shots of the upper portion.
Pics 3 and 4: This is the little sister to Josephine. "Creepy Shelly" She is a life size zombie little girl. Couldn't you just eat her up..lol
pics 5 and 6: Home made voodoo dolls. I made these years ago. They are for decoration only.
Pic 7 is a sculpture of the head of the zombie from Lucio Fulci's Zombie movie. This is the zombie off of the movie poster.

You have a real talent for sculpture, they are all fantastic. You wouldn't happen to have an extra voodoo doll laying around...just for decorative purposes.....muwhawwhaaw....

Hello and thank you chop shop..The bump in the night version of zombie is a good likeness. I have always admired the make up and gore effects in that film. It was definitely ahead of its time. The Fulci Zombie is all clay..The other projects are a mixture of mediums..clay, newspaper paper mache, tissue paper mache, wood, foil etc...
Hello and thanks Deadna..Nope, no hair...I had a second or so when I was making it that I considered hair, but something just said to leave it without hair.
Thanks nevergoback.. Nope, not at the moment...Did you want to decorative purpose someone..lol

How about 1 more.. I made this for a friends Halloween part years back. It is a full size Mrs Bates, from the original Psycho. Now, I just keep the head portion on display. The pic is in black and white to mimic the movie.
Unfortunately, I decided recently, after about 6-7 years, to varnish the piece. It came out too glossy and, in my view, really detracts from the nature of it. I have a few things that I stick by to achieve realism in my work. Not glazing the piece is usually one of them.
Thank you all again for the compliments on my work.
