So Halloween is over.
How do you guys care for your rubber latex masks so they last for years to come? I purchased my first "high-grade" mask this year and want it to last as long as possible. From what I have read, the following steps are required. Is there anything else that is recommended?
-Wash the inside of the mask with a light detergent (to break down oils).
-Wipe the inside of the mask with a wet towel.
-Dry the inside of the mask completely.
-Wipe the outside of the mask with a wet towel and let dry.
-Lightly powder the mask inside and out.
-Insert something inside the mask, so that it maintains its shape.
-Bag the mask with a durable plastic bag.
-Place the bagged mask in a sealed plastic container (preferably an opaque one).
-Place the container in a cool, dark area. Avoid temperature and humidity changes.
Thanks for any additional tips!
