Thread: I need a little help with a Queen Anne Boleyn costume idea

Hey everyone! I want to be Anne Boleyn for Halloween and already have a dress that I just need to add sleeves to. I don't want to just be a regal looking Anne, I would like to be Anne in mid-decapitation. I want to cut parts of a plastic ax and attach them to my neck so it looks like it is going through. The part that I need help on is what to use for an adhesive. The ax, possibly sword (I gotta do some research to be historically accurate, and it may make it easier) will be plastic and hopefully lightweight, but I'm not sure if Spirit Gum will be strong enough. Any suggestions and input is great appreciated!

I was Marie Antoinette last year with a big gash on my neck and no one knew who I was....I was like are you serious? They kept calling me a fairy godmother?...I think it's the area we live in, they are a little on the uneducated side. Please post picks when you are finished with it, I can't wait to see it.

I am actually kind of worried that people won't know who I am. I'm dressing up for a metal show and figure that some metal heads are nerds too. If not, I'm cool with being the chick in the renaissance dress with a sword through her neck and a gnarly wound.
