I am planning on dressing as an American Civil War Union Solider for Halloween and I was thinking of wearing ghost or vampire make-up, but I also have some stuff to make it seem like I have a neck that was sliced and missing eyeballs and I am just wondering if it'd make sense to have pale make-up on my face too. I want to set up a proper illusion. I've also consider just having the wounds or not having any type of make-up at all and just going out as a regular Yankee troop.
Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
(By the way - I have some pics of me in my uniform that I will post later if anyone would like to see them.)

Makes perfect sense - you're a ghost so you're pale, and since you're a ghost you obviously died from something, whether gun shot wounds, cannon fire, infection from amputated limbs, I could go on and on. I say do it up big!

o ya, definitely
I'm a big civil war buff, done some touring and ghost hunting at many battlefields.
There's many stories of phantom soldiers with all types of wounds that people encounterhttp://www.halloweenforum.com/member...bums-2011.html

Okay, that's cool. I just didn't want the blood or the wounds to look fresh, but I am sure if done correctly, they shall not.
Since I'm from the South, I thought being a Yankee Soldier would be scary enough to my fellow Texans.
But I think I can go even further and doing this with a twist is better.
I was even thinking I didn't wanna have to deal with the make-up being put on or taken off, but it's Halloween dang it and I wanna look scary so I am going all out with the missing eyes, the rotten teeth, the sliced neck and the pale make-up. I'm gonna look good.
