Hey gang I'm new here,.......... hey how are ya,... but need some help with a foam latex mask I got, this one
http://www.vampfangs.com/Softflex-Sk...%20-%20101.htm
It is a really nice mask, well constructed and well fit, but I'm doing a Reaper costume for a party and as much as I like the mask the lack of detail is kind of disheartening. I spent the hundred bucks so I wouldn't have to do the full make-up routine, now it looks like I'll have to work on the mask a bit. My main question is what should I use to add black accents through out the mask. It is a very plain monotone with a minor amount of gray airbrush highlights. What would y'all recommend to make the mask POP! I considered black grease pencil, and even just a black ink pen? Thanks for any suggestions VERY nice site I'll be hanging around more.![]()

Wash it well with vinegar and water solution. This will cut thru any dirt on the mask and make it easier to apply paint. If you don't want to order latex from a company online you might be able to find some at one of those Halloween shops that are open this time of year.
Get a small bottle of liquid latex . Then go to Walmart and get some black acrylic craft paint. Mix together and paint on your mask.
The latex will stick to the latex (hoping that's what your mask is made of) and become one.

Thanks guys it is a really nice mask,(it is foam latex) but they didn't add any highlights! The skull seams are there but you can't even see them. Liqued Latex mixed with black acrylic seems like a good Idea, permanant sort of too.
