I know I have shared my Phoenix from Xmen costume, but I am not feeling confident about it. Our party is heroes & villians themed. I feel as the hostess I need something with a bit more wow factor.

Any ideas for something I could put together that fits this theme? Doesn't have to be comics, could be Disney characters, classic mosters, movie characters, etc....

I found I loved my costume a lot more last year when I put it together from scratch, rather than buying.

No ideas? I have one! I found these great Dodgeball costumes. Still purchased, but good quality. I think it would be fun for my husband & I to go as Average Joe's & some friends to go as Globo Gym Purple Cobras. But having trouble finding good purple cobra costumes...

What about Mighty Mouse and someone he rescues.

Who was the guy in the old cartoons that was always tieing up the girl on the railroad tracks and leaving her with the train approaching? I have the vivid image of this scene from many, many cartoons, but can't pin it down. IT IS OLD, but a classic. The villian had a large handlebar mustache and she was blonde. Maybe her name was Pearl??????

Now, this is going to bother me. It is probably too old for your group to recognize, but for older people they would know it.

Okay, this has driven me crazy all day and I finally searched and found it. It was Mighty Mouse and Pearl Pureheart. She was always tied to the railroad tracks and MM saved the day and her just in time. The arch rival was Oil Can Harry.

Another possible old one would be Dudley Do-Right, the Candian Mounty who was always saving his girl from doom.

Both cartoons were big in the 60s.

It is a different slant on your Villians and Heroes theme.

I think costumes would be fun to make.

You could do a 'Comedic Hero type' too! Think of the "Heroic Crosswalk lady" from your elementary school days or a 'Headline Hero' from the newspaper... cat saves family from housefire, dials 911! Get the picture?

Hmm.. Well I'm sure someone else might already be doing this but since your party is themed as Heroes and Villains... here are my suggestions:

    Wonder Woman
She-Ra (you must remember that old cartoon?).. if you do her costume right it would deffinitely be a 'Wow Factor' look her up on Google
Jem (old school cartoon as well)
OR.. You could be one of the Misfits also from Jem ...also Wow Factor costume

WELL.... I hope these have helped!
