I watched that Martha Stewart show where they were statues, and that got me to thinking, how could I make it scary or creepy? this is what I came up with tossing and turning in bed last night.
I would make a prop of an angel statue completely white, and try to make it as realistic as possible, close to my size and place her in either my front yard near my sidewalk entrance, or in the central graveyard near the entrance my neighbors and I are planning on doing. Then, I would dress up EXACTLY like her, I'd be using a foam head and wig for head for her, so I'd either have to wear a white nylon over my face to make it look less real, or do her up so her face looks like mine( minus piercings) I would be completely white as well, get a shiny material for a dress for both of us, wings from walmart or other place, and then I would pose on the other side of the entrance/walkway. If I do it in my yard, I'd have a sign on my front door so that when the TOT come up, they'd read turn around, and one of the angel "statues" has moved and is offering them candy. (kinda got that part from a dr. who series where the angels only moved when you weren't looking. really creeped me out.) If I'm in the central graveyard near the entrance, both my prop angel and I would be holding a candy bowl, hers would be empty so they'd all come to me. She would be completely still, but whenever a TOT came up to me, I'd either drop my head back and scream, or start laughing manically. so, what do you think. I'd been trying to figure out what I wanted to do for my costume, and this is what I came up with. any advice on how to do this better or make it creepier is much welcome.

OOOOhh... Sounds like fun mind game for the tots! May be to add to the creep factor have your eyes closed when they first look at you and then open them wide (as in all scary movies), then scream. I would think as long as your shape is very close and general coloring the same you shouldn't have a problem. I made a statue with a foam head and added great stuff in small strands on it and it made for great hair. Then color it with gray paint. (spray paint will melt foam use latex or acryl.) Like this idea of yours hope it works!
