I found this skirt at goodwill for $4 and I was thinking of being a zombie bride for my Halloween party. I'm going to add some lace detailing to the tank top, and of course some blood, but I was wondering if anyone had any good distressing ideas? There is quite a bit of tool for me to work with.![]()

When I did a zombie I took my battery operated nail file (a dremmel or sander might work too) and created holes in the dress, it gave it a rougher edge. If the skirt is cotton, it would be pretty easy to just pull loose threads though. I also buried it in the back yard for a week (gave me that just buried smell too) then did the twist on it on the driveway (no telling what the neighbors thought I was doing
). I wanted it to look dirtier so stood a bit away from it and lightly sprayed black and brown spray paint on it. I couldn't see your pic, so not sure what your skirt looks like.
They live. They die. They return. Zombies.

I would dye it grey, rip it, bury it, shred it until it has that just right zombie feel
Im going to be a zombie this year but a glamour zombie so a little different :0 good luck.
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

Use the small side of a cheese grater. By far the best tool for distressing fabric for zombie costumes.
