I need to get invitations out for my party this year but I haven't decided on a theme and costume... I got this costume on ebay, but don't really like the traditional witch thing... Any ideas of what I could do with this to make it something more unique? Or any pics of other unique couples costumes? I will need to find something that my husband can wear to match

I had been wanting to do the whole rag doll/porcelain doll theme, but there are no good/cheap plus size raggedy ann costumes out there. Any ideas for that too?

you could make it into a gypsy/ fortune teller and do a creepy carnival theme or you could make it into a pirate and go for that theme. If you go to simplicity patters costume you can look at the way your costume is built and look at other patterns that look similar and see what else you can make it into because a lot have patterns can be made into about 5 different looks

I will probably use it as a pirate someday, but it's too cliche for me to base my whole party on that theme, at least until they stop making Pirates of the Caribbean movies...

But I love the idea of a creepy carnival theme, just have to avoid the clowns because a few of my friends truly would not come if there were clowns there... LOL

My family and I are going as the mystery inc. gang this year. I'm gonna be Freddy, my wife will be Velma, my 5 year old daughter is Daphne, my 8 year old son is Shaggy, my 10 month old baby boy will Scooby, and our puppy is going to be.....in a headless horseman costume(she'll be the horse) because everyone hates scrappy:P best thing about it is that it is mostly regular clothes. But I guess this doesn't help much with your problem...

I would add a black long skirt to lengthen it, add a cape and some long sleeves if u are adventurous. Paint yourself green. I can get you all the info on that if u like and viola an Elpheba costume. Your husband could go as Fiero. Go too Google images and search under Elpheba.
