Although I still haven't decided what exactly I want to be for Halloween, I know that I want chains and thorns wrapped around my limbs, around my waist. I've decided to just go with a real, Home Depot, light chain, but I can't seem to think of a way to portray thorns wrapped around me. I can't find fake ones anywhere. Any thoughts or ideas?

(I want to be a little bloody and extra spooky this year so I figured fake blood and soars around thorns and chains would be a nice touch)

Please and thanks for any help!

Why not use some grapevine, like from a craft-store wreath? Of course, you'll have to soak it in water first to make it pliable.

As for thorns, maybe sculpt them?

I don't know about thorns but they have fake barbwire at Michael's for $5. You might be able to tweek them a bit to make them look more thorny.

I'm absolutely going to use thorns next year. May go with the grapevine, may spray paint fake barbed wire, either way, I appreciate the suggestions. This year, however, I've decided to be a Little Sister (Bioshock).

    Thank you for the suggestions!

    FYI - Here's some rusty barbed wire-looking garland: http://www.beistle.com/catalog_enlar...qvU&prod=00115

If you like Little Sister and Bioshock, check out the pictures for DragonCon. I believe you can find the pictures in the 2010 section.
