Has anyone worked with gel-10 to create make-up effects? Something I'm looking into for this year. I was thinking of doing a zombie and it sounds like really good stuff to use.

Yea I watched a few videos too and it looks really easy to use. I think I'm going to order the 2lb and see what I can come up with. I'm going to use it to do a zombie costume this year and look into using it for other props for next year.

Gel-10, or plat-gel, works great for all sorts of effects and masks. If you need any help, give me a shout.

Yeah, it is fun to work with. I have been playing with the stuff for awhile now and won't ever turn back to latex for masks. Now if you are watching BITY mold supply videos then I will warn you that he is an amazing artist and makes it look incredibly easy. I would recommend going through BITY mold supply and geting the platsil Gel-00, it is in my opinion a better silicone for masks and makeups. The mask below is gel-10 and it needs alittle bit of deadener for a good mask.

Here is my first gel-10 mask I ever made using a CFX joe human display as my armature. ZOMBIE CLOWNS, YES!!!

I'm pretty convinced that BITY is the place to go. I'm sure it is not going to be anywhere close to as easy as he makes it seem. As a matter of fact I'm ordering extra so I can play with it a few times before the big nite. Your mask looks great. I'm going to get into the mask making part ot it this year. My son was supposed to do some last year but he never did, always gotta do it yourself right....

Sounds like a great plan you have, you'll find excuses to use the stuff on anything. I have a notebook at work with some silicone gore all over it. Alittle bit goes a long way when doing cuts and wounds.
