Thread: help with Rorschach costume

man, been a long time since i've been on this site, couldn't even remember my password. anyway, since i got sick last year and missed Halloween for the first time ever, I'm going all out this year and making my costume. I'd like to be Rorschach, from the Watchmen. but i have no idea where to start. if someone could help me get started, i would really be happy. thanks!

Well you could go at the good will, or some other places that have cheap or worn clothes for sale. Try to get a fedora hat, a trench coat, gloves, white scarf or everything else that might be missing.

Be sure to check for reference pics before you buy anything (In Google images, search for: Rorschach watchman movie)

For the mask, well maybe you can buy one or make one (the are lots of tutorials on youtube, search "make Rorschach mask")

IMO, I think making this costume, without counting the mask, will be easy to make and will cost under 10$ if you are lucky or maybe a little more depending what you get

PS- If you are making the mask and using the "nylon sock" technique, be sure to get a brand news nylon sock. The ones at the goodwill could smell funny :S

For the outfit, brown trenchcoat and pinstripe pants. White scarf, fedora, brown vest. You can buy a mask or make one(check youtube). You could also dye your hair orange and draw freckles in case you take your mask off, so you'll look like him w/o the mask. Hope it helps.
