Soo seeing as I'm new to this forum I thought I'd post stuff from last year and then progress onto this year. So I worked at a community haunt this last Halloween and after making 3 atttempts at the Jackal (not an easy costume) I finally felt I got it near perfect. I'm still gonna make some adjustments but its just about done.
I fabricated the entire cage myself (all 5 pounds of it :S), as well as I sewed the entire replica suit (all 10 pounds of it :S) and altered the prosthetic to have the exact cuts Shane Wyler had in the movie. The wig I bought but cut and worked myself to get it slick straight and tangled. I bought some weave at Sallys Beauty Supply and also glued some hair to the inside of the cage, spilling out through the bars. The hands I bought from Halloween Express. The teeth are custom veneers from Dental Distortions and the contacts are from extremesfx.com. So the only things I didnt have a lot of hand in were the...well the hands :P, contacts, teeth, and boots, Everything else was just about entirely made by me.
Total work hours I can't possibly say cause it took 3 versions of this costume until I was happy with it so this costume was just a lot of trial, error, and experimentation.
