    Hey guys,

Maybe some of your more advanced Costume creators can give me a some ideas..

For next Halloween I plan to be a 'Turn of the Century' bare knuckle boxer. I have been really getting into the part looking up only training manuals from the 20s and have taken up weight training as they describe to get the proper build.

I am really into the theatrics of dressing up, if you don't have the right body type for something it comes out looking corny in my opinion.

In anycase, as an added touch I want to paint myself to resemble a black and white or Sepia photograph. Has anyone tried anything like this before? If so, do you have any tips?

I figure I am going to have to invest in a makeup air brush to make a clean cover, then I will begin looking for cloths that are light blacks or grays. Making bruises appear black and white I think will be very difficult.

I'm waiting to here an answer for this. We were thinking of being the Munsters, and were trying to figure out how to look black and white.

Try looking at Raging Bull stills for B&W colours!! I think that would be easier than sepia, as you have something to work from. Trying to find pictures of sepia bruises is going to be difficult.

i think if you use the airbrush you will get a good effect...you would want to do a base of light grey...then add the bruise makeup or in the case of the munsters, the defining make up..then go over it with a light coat of the grey again....?
