I'm trying to make a "battle suit" similar to Aaron Stone (seen below). What's a good method of attaching things like shoulder, elbow and knee pads to clothing such as a unitard? You see I don't want to put everything on piece by piece, I just want to put the whole thing on but if it's impossible I'll put it on piece by piece.

You may be able to use flexible glue to adhere the harder pieces. Most of the suit looks like it's some kind of fabric you can sew to the unitard.
The harder pieces might also be easy to attach with metal snaps on the inside of the armor.
