I'm sorry I didn't post this earler but it can and will be used for this year's costume. I made a severed arm costume prop using the instructions I found over at The Living Severed Hand! I made this and have been freaking people out even though its not Halloween. I like to take it into Starbucks, order a coffee and then sit in a visible location occasionally twitching my fingers. Attached are my pics of what I did. I also wore the right hand glove to complete the look. This year I plan on making a foam-core cleaver to finish up the whole image.

I had people actively avoiding me. I was in line for a haunt ride down in Griffith Park, Ca and the kids had no problem coming up and checking out the hand but the parents weren't too sure, especially when I twitched my fingers. I wore the prop to a Starbucks during the season and also recently. I had patrons and staff making rather obvious decisions to walk past just to get another look. hehehe, lots of fun and it was totally free cause I already had the materials.

Awesome prop, I'll bet you got alot of looks. Interesting that the kids would come up but not the parents.

I dunno why, probably cause kids have no fear of the unknown that's built in when they get older...<shrugs shoulders>
