I have a genie costume that I've put together with a blue and gold color scheme and it stands alone well. However, I was thinking that it would be neat to be less generic and add a twist to it. For example, I was thinking an evil genie might be neat, except the clothes I have don't look menacing so that idea wouldn't work. Maybe there's something I can do related to a bottle (like genie in a (beer) bottle,) but I also don't quite want to do that - I want something a little lighter.
I'm just trying to think of some simple thing to do to make it a more fun costume since I don't have time to go out and buy anything more really either.
    Thanks!

I don't know what size you are (if your 6'5" it my not work) but here's what I did for my daughters genie costume a few years back. I made a board out of thick foam and cut a torso hole and made shoulder straps, the material was egyptian looking cloth from the fabric store and I made the tassels from gold yarn. The legs were made from stuffed tights and coat hanger wire with "barbie" shoes.
