My Dad has just started a new business and has been invited to a costume party by one of his clients. He has asked me to help him with his costume. He was going to wear one of my husbands but has just informed me that it is a classic movie theme. I need some help in deciding what to do for him. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When I prep for a themed costume party I break it down with a couple of steps.
1. Research. As far as classic movies you can go anywhere from Forrest Gump, The Godfather, Singing in the rain, Casablanca, Wizard of Oz, Citizen Kane and so on
2. Inspiration. Once you choose the character you want to be gather images of this character and discover key points of this characters costume design.
3. Costume construction. Quick and easy is the store bought option or try the more authentic route and search stores and online for the costume pieces needed.
Happy hunting and I hope he enjoys the costume party.." You can't spell manslaughter without laughter "

Oh, If I had a classic movie theme no actor is as recognizable as Charley Chaplin the king of silent film. All you need is a kane a square like mustache, bawler hat, short curley hair wig, and three piece suit...

Depending on what your dad looks like he could be pretty much anyone! Now I suck at names but if you searched for movies on Google you could find pictures... Like Vincent Price in any of his movies, Rhett from Gone With The Wind, The Munsters characters, Chaplin is a great option, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Shaft, Night of the living dead, Rocky horror picture show! LOL! Just a few to look up! Even type in Classic Movie titles and look at what come up! GOOD LUCK!!!
