first i had decided to bee for Halloween but my chemistry plastic project happens to fall on the day of Halloween.
so i decided to make/create a costume related to plastics.

I have decided to become plastic/recycle fairy...I was thinking of stitching plastic bags on a dress(or a shirt & skirt if i can't get a dress).
For the wand, i was thinking a normal wand with a water bottle on top of it and plastic bag stripes for frills

If you have any ideas, could you please tell me!

    thanks

    sorry got double posted

    Cool idea!

At my college, there were several designers that did some really cool dresses out of "trash" like plastic bags, using duct tape and the like. I remember all of the designs to be really, really fantastic.

    Great idea!
i googled plastic bottle dress and some different great looking types of dresses came up.
how about incorporating that recycling circular arrow symbol into it somehow???
as a hat maybe?? like they have at horse races??

I don't know if this is any help to you but a few weeks ago I had to wear a uniform made from garbage bags, it was for a recycling themed party, I was hired in as the maid, Friday night I had to serve and wait on the guests and on Saturday I had to clean the whole apartment.
I can't give you much advice on using plastic bottles but the bag dress seems easy enough, I can say that wearing the dress is for any length of time is hard, it quickly very sweaty quickly and as a result sticks to you in all the wrong places, also it rustles constantly as you move.
I have a couple of pics which I will dig out and post in a minute.

Here are a couple of pics as promised, The top one is a photoshop simulate because we didn't get a decent photo with me in it on Friday so they made me one, bottom one is genuine though from Saturday.
