I'm thinking of making a bobble head for my 12 year old son. I thought I'd make an oversized football helmet out of layered foam insulation and use the pipe insulation stuff for the face mask.

If I have enough time, I'd like to add a layer of plywood to hold springs between the helmet and the portion that fits on his head. This should give a good bobble effect.

Any other ideas to make this "over the top" would be great!
