Default working on my new mask...

I'm working (still) on my mask for Halloween this year. Trying paper mache. I started with a plaster mold of my face, and I'm adding clay to rough in the cheekbones and ears, hoping to finish it off with the mache and then painting it. Here's the pics.

Heres the mask I'm trying to duplicate...

Gotta little bit of work to do. I have to figure something to duplicate the hair...don't know what would work though.

For my mask I bought a wig (long) and cut the hair off then glued the hair to the mask.
Pretty simple and turned out allright.

Finished product

noah, that is a seriously awesome mask in a bad sort of way. ghost, you have a good start there, it really is coming along looking like what your finished product is supposed to look like. for the hair, why don't you check out in the craft supply area for doll hair. or if you know of someone who owns goats, you can talk them out of some mohair. you might be surprised what you can achieve with mohair. at the craft supply place you can ask, usually they know of someone who makes dolls for hobbies. they can give you ideas. you guys, your talent rocks.

Thanks for the input on dolls hair or a wig...duh...don't know why I didn't think about that. My wife has a few weaves sitting around the house. Lemme try to tick her off by cutting one of them up...

So far for my first mask ever, I'm a little too critical on my own work. I want it to be exact, but I know it won't be. At least I can relax as not a lot of people will even know who I'm dressing up as anyway
