Thread: Sock Monkeys

My husband and I have decided to go as sock monkeys this year. Thought they'd be funny costumes. But now we can't figure out how to make them! Has anyone done this before as a costume, if so, how did you make it?

Wow, that is an original idea. It would be excellent to pull it off.

My first thought was you would need that tweedy looking sock fabric for your clothing, maybe with matching heather gray or heather brown sweatsuits. Use white knee socks pulled over the sweatpants and white gloves, find hats to represent the top and start practicing some makeup - big red mouth, black eyes. And ears, must have monkey ears. Prosthetics, maybe?
