every year i am dead. i usaully wear black. i have a handmade black and purple bridal veil. this year im considering a change,buying a ivory dress and cheap bridal veil,before corpsifying myself as usaul. do you think the dead and ghostly aspect will be enhanced or ruined by using a white/ivory gown? can i get some opinions? i really wish i had pics of last years get up. please chime in!!!

I'm thinking of the dead look this year too. I was thinking about a look with either a pale florescent (sp?) color or the white (with help from Rit dye whitener). I think I'll do the night dress angle though.[^] Any ideas for me too please.

well the two dress im considering{aside from others} for their affordability are at good goth .com long dresses, belle dame or the belladonna either com in ivory. theyre the cheapest of dresses ive seen like i want. buying 2nd hand is hard because i am large or fluffy.

I think the white dress would make a more memorable costume. Bigger creepy factor. Anything more authentic works better in my book. Besides, if you have already done the black and purple thing, it might be time for a change. Although I had a friend who once dressed up as the Devil's Bride and she did the whole thing in red. That was a pretty cool look too.

Last year in Salem at the opening parade for Haunted Happenings, a woman wore a white bridal gown with the undead look and she ended up on the front page of the Salem Evening News...so I say, go for it.

I think that is a great idea. Everybody always wears black, red or purple. I checked out the dresses on that site. Those were very cool. You gave me some ideas for this year too. I have also pondered the thought of being a dead bride or something wearing all white or ivory. I say go for it too, it's different and you will stand out!

My Fiance and I are going to be a Dead Bride and Groom. I am going to tie our costumes into the theme of the party. I want to dress up a bunch of Bridesmaids and Groomsmen in leave them floating face down in the pool. I am making headless priest holding his head in one hand (singing Billy Idol's White Wedding) I think the White Dress will really look great with the Blood. I am going to be in a 70's style Blie Tux.. (If I can find one cheap). The question is how did we die? I am going back and forth between a jealous Ex doing the deed or did she catch me with the Brides Made, kill me and then commit suidcide? But I digress.... Wear the white. It will look great.
