Thread: Getting bends out of a cheap wig

So, I bought a cheap Cleopatra wig, but it has an awkward wave from how it was folded. How do I straighten it out, since I'm pretty sure it would melt if I used heat? I combed it, and tried to lightly dampen it. I currently have it airing out on a mannequin head, but still it has what looks like the pony tail holder line when you put wet hair up and let it dry.
