I've been focused on other things and have been a bad mom...My son is almost 3 years old, he has a bunch of great halloween t-shirts for the week leading up to Halloween. I had some great ideas for his costume but, my husband suggested we ask him what he wanted to be...
He does not truly understand what Halloween is but knows its comming and has associated pumpkins to halloween. When I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween he said a pumpkin.
I would like to do something kind of unique but I'm not sure what.
Can you wonderful folks toss out some ideas?
Thanks!!

If he's not too large, you could get one of the really big funkin pumpkins from Michaels (I believe they are 50% off right now, making them something like $15) and then cut out the bottom and top so he can wear it around his middle (hot glue a black tee shirt (or white... give me a minute) inside the top opening of the pumpkin so it acts as a suspension for the pumpkin part. Put the whole thing over his head, and have him put on the tee shirt like normal... but make sure it hangs so he can walk okay.
Paint his face with whiskers and a nose and put on some black cat ears (black tee option) and he could be a black cat coming out of a pumpkin.
Or with the white shirt option, he could be a ghost... paint his face white and do some black circles around his eyes and put a white hat or whiten his hair with temporary stuff...
(added bonus: cut out the top and bottom CAREFULLY to fit him, and you can re-glue it and use it as a prop next year)
Or you could just do this:

I decided and made this. 2 shirts used ribbon and fake leaves to sew in fir vines. Cut out the face free form and added some flame like material behind. Just need to add in a flicker tea light to light it up.
Oops, the pic didn't post from my phone. Could be from the server move today tho. I'll try to get it posted out here when i'm home. It came out cute but not "too cute".
