I have a great Witch Foam latex Prosthetic appliance I bought. Unfortunately, my arms and neck need to be covered. All my make up kept rubbing off. I would like to try my hand at making some Foam latex appliances for my hands and arms. I don't want to buy gloves because they just look like gloves with paint on them. I want something more realistic. I want to add bone spurs, warts, large creepy veins etc...
I have been to ALL of the web sites, but nowhere does it tell you every single item you need. It's as if they don't take into account that I don't know what
they know. There is a "Kit" on Monstermakers but am not willing to spend $295.
Can anyone tell me exactly what I will need from making the mold, positive mold, foam latex etc...... I am really artistic but am unfamiliar with this
medium. I also will buy extra as I know I will be making mistakes and believe I need a few runs before I get what I want. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!

Latex and tissue is all you need.
Veins just roll some tissue into long string more or less and latex it on thencover with makeup.Top the makeup off with baby powder to set it.You can make anything onto your skin this way.You could also do the veins with cooked spaghetti, yarn and latex.

I agree, latex and tissue are the way to go. It will give you some great texture to play with. Foam latex takes a lot of practice and experience to be able to do well, and can be very expensive to get into once you factor in all of the supplies and equipment that you would need.
That being said, however, if you really want to do it the kit is the least of what you will need. You will also need a mixer, an oven to bake the foam latex in (NOT your kitchen oven), mold straps, paint brushes and rubber gloves.
