I agreed to work in an outdoor haunt starting this weekend and I want to do something that is a little more than just painting my face white with black around the eyes or a "standard" mask that you can buy at a store. I haven't seen the terrain yet (that happens Thursday) and I don't know what my part will be yet, so it is difficult to commit to anything quite yet, but I know that there are tons of creative people in here so I am looking for any and all ideas.
My current idea that I am throwing around in my head would be to wear black pants with a white button down shirt (long sleeve) with some sort of bright tie (probably red of some sort). I could splatter it in blood and even have my daughter and/or son make a few bloody handprints on the front. I would also wear a wig of gray, ratty kind of hair (House of 1000 Corpses-ish) and a really plain white mask that I would cut into a few pieces and "sew" back together before a big smear of blood across it (as if someone had wiped their bloody hand on it).
Like I said, I am not set on anything at this point, so I would love to hear any ideas! The only thing I do know is that most of the trail is not well lit, so whatever it is, it has to be able to stand out a little bit.
Thanks guys! (And gals!)

I do like the look that you used, but this will be an outdoor haunt in Central Ohio (where temps when I get done for the night could drop into the 30's and there could be rain). I am not opposed to using the latex idea though (it would obviously just be on my face though). And I plan on getting a wig of some sort just to add to the look. Ripped - does that look you use hold up if it gets wet? Thanks for the idea. It's definitely in the running.
Any other ideas out there?

Hi there,
What about using the liquid face and body paints that you can do a design on your face? These are waterproof but comfy to wear. You don't have to worry about sweating a a mask then. I saw this post here http://halloweenmakeupkits.net/profe...ace-paint.html

Also not a bad idea. That might work. I was thinking about a prosthetic too. Those wouldn't be too uncomfortable to wear and with some gel blood, you could make them look pretty sweet (especially in low light). I just am not sure what my role will be yet, so I am hesitant to go all out and buy something that I will regret!
Thanks for the ideas guys. I would love to hear any more if anyone has anything to add!
