Thinking about dressing up inside of a larger prop, that will look static when people walk by but I can move
when they stop looking. Thinking Grim Reaper, thinking PVC extension for arms that I would hold, not sure how to do the hands yet.

Was thinking of making a pvc frame that would sit on my shoulders, then attach a prop head over my own. Then would
just need a black robe to fit over it. Not sure if anyone has seen this ?

If you go the PVC route, I would look into using regular PVC for the primary supports, but CPVC for the rest of it. CPVC is flexible and all around easier to work with IMO. As for connecting it to yourself, hit up some surplus stores (regular ones, the military surplus stores are way way overpriced) and look for an old external (or internal) rigid frame backpack. You can lash it to the PVC with thin/strong rope (I picked mine up from REI's climbing department) easily. Also, remember to prime the PVC/CPVC before you put the cement on it,it will make a much stronger bond in your joints.

I'm not sure how large you're thinking, but if it's going to be quite large, keep in mind how much of a PITA it will be to transport. I found this out the hard way when I had to rent a trailer to move my costumes last year.

You can look over my Pacman thread to see adventures in CPVC land.

I put a larger zipper and eye holes into this 8.5 inflatable stay puft.

Add a drill battery and its free to roam the neighbourhood.
There's a "stuft stay puft" thread in the props section, showing exactly what we did.
