Ok guys, usually, I figure out our costumes and then plan the party. I didn't do that this year and now , for the first time EVER , I cannot think of what we should be!! We picked a theme this year of Horror Movies. We have been in the past : Medusa and Poseidon, Mother Nature and Father Time, Corpse Bride and Groom.. I like to make most of our costumes and I would love for them to be a really original idea. My son thought my husband should be Jigsaw and I could be a victim.. I thought of Carrie, I dunno... I need to have a costume that I can move in and serve food in, etc.. Any ideas???

I think Carrie would be a pretty easy costume to make and would look cool. What if you made a slender man costume for the hubby? Painter's stilts, a suit (with modified pants), blank face mask. Would make for some really creepy night pictures...but I don't think they made any movies with him in it. :/ Maybe that scary masked guy from Bedfellows, or some characters from "The Crazies". Wouldn't need too much for the costumes, mostly makeup and special effects prosthetics.

There are always the classics like scream, or ghosts, or the girl from the ring. If you're looking to be different you could always take regular movie characters like jonah hex and lilah, the flitstones or even morticia and gomez from the adam's family and add zombie feature: Pale skin, scar sets and bullet wounds with some blood. Make the costume more tattered and dirty. There are plenty of zombies in horror films. Good luck!

The only thing that comes to mind is Chucky and the Bride of Chucky, keeping with the movie theme anyways.

You could be like the old timey cigarette girl and the husband a ticket taker or usher... Or Ms. Hannigan and Daddy Warbucks from Annie... Bonnie and Clyde... I like Angel's idea of the Chucky dolls, but you both could be creepy dolls which would be cool or Raggedy Ann and Andy or like possessed barbie and Ken: I would totally spook it up if you did the barbie thing... Maybe even something disturbing like pregnant barbie or something (if that is something you would do of course, it's kina twisted)...
Moricia and Gomez are one of my fav couples. Cheerleader and football player (that could be fun), my sis went one year as a cheerleader when she was younger and made it kinda psychotic and high strung, haha. John Travolta and Sissy on Stayin Alive?
Anyway, there's a few for ya.A person who is afraid to make mistakes won't make anything.

I vote Jason and his be-headed mother. You can use one of those cheap costumes where it looks like you are holding your own cut off head.
You could also do Rob Zombie's Michael Myers and his ghost mom, Freddy Kreuger and his nun mom, Two cenobites from Hellraiser...Check us out at www.YouTube.com/YourFearZone

Hey Crypt Keeper,
Do something crazy this year. I think Lady Gaga costumes is eccentric and definitely out of the box. You can do a combination of some of her top costumes.
Your husband could be her alter Ego... I think that would be so cool with the cigarette in the side of his mouth and if he don't smoke, use a unlit cigarette.
I think that would be cool..
Hope that helps, that is my idea..

Horror Movie couples:
Frankenstein and The Bride (no reason that's my top pick...
)
Jack Skellington & Sally
Jack and Wendy from The Shining
Beetlejuice & Lydia (I know it's not a horror - but it is a great couple costume... especially if you even remotely resemble Lydia)
Freddy & Jason (nobody said you HAVE to have a male/female)I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002
