I'm kind of on a budget this year due to heading to Las Vegas in November with a lot of friends. One of my buddies is having a big Halloween Costume Party. I plan on using my clown costume from last year but would like to change it up a bit or add more to it. This was something I got together pretty quick. Any advice or ideas on how to make this look better??? I tried wearing contacts but just couldn't do it.

    Thanks!!!

    Nice overall!

My suggestion would be to get a different nose (that looks like your own nose under the makeup). Not a foam ball, but there are some really cool simple latex noses that would totally change up your facial appearance. Sort of like this one, but you get the general idea.

Otherwise, I like the makeup as is...but there's always that to change up slightly too.

Biggie is that I'd get something different for the shirt. I would either get a shiny fabric in black/red or black/white. Black shirt, red vest would be cool too - a vest over a black shirt would be my first suggestion. Ruff or oversized tie, but shredded and blood spattered? Or what about a white butcher's apron spattered with blood and you carry one of those comically large clown hammers? But go with a black shirt (and the striped sleeves are good...)

Those are all good ideas!!! I'll start playing around with some different things to see what I can come up with. Where can I get a over sized ruff from? Last year I looked around local but couldn't find anything.

you could also put the hair up by putting wire in it and tying it up and hair spray it. Even easier to find you in a large crowd! I love all the other ideas. It it does look pretty cool!!

Good ties for the money if you go in that direction

This seller will make a ruff in colors you can request and will also adjust the size to fit your neck so it won't choke you for $18 + whatever shipping would be.

If you know anyone that can sew, it's really easy to make:

Bloody clown cleaver (there's also a hammer and a machete)

I like the idea of the black shirt with a vest. Might see if I can find someone to make me the vest. Do you think it would look better just one solid color or maybe like one side one color & the other a different color??? I did the apron already a couple years back so want something a little different. I'd like to get some cuffs or something made too.

Great costume! Maybe a cone shaped party hat? Braid the hair into pig tails?
