Thread: real rats in a costume

My friend has a pet rat. Now we all think he's just precious and hold him and kiss him and stuff. But a lot of people are freaked out by rats, so I told her next Halloween she should take along her rat. Like let it crawl on her. Maybe we could even make her up as a zombie and add the rat.

What do you guys think?

While that sounds like a cool idea for a costume, I can just see someone taking a swing at it with a stick or shovel or whatever happens to be handy to "save your friend from the vermin." (as if being covered in splattered rat is any healthier than being bitten by one). Though rats are smart and fast enough that it's your friend who might be the one getting hit. I would make sure EVERYONE attending a party knew about it before hand. I wouldn't go out in public like that.

I think its a good idea if he is in a clear box of some sort. They only thing im afraid of is RATS!!! I hate them. But for the safety of he little friend I would suggest putting him in a cage.
