Hey All, from Raleigh NC. Been here going on 16 years this will be the 15th year for my front yard haunt. ( if do it ) Had my WebServer showing all the years but my server is getting rebuilt; will get the Album feature utilized. Have some experience and have made some How-To documents. Have Done: Flying Crank Ghost ++++ Full Size Coffins ++++ Fog Chiller's ++++ Cemetery Fencing ++++ Monster Crate ++++ Tombstones +++++ahh the list seems endless as does the debt
I am from Mooresville, Lake Norman just north of Charlotte! I like to do up Halloween every year and have a decent front yard haunt with a combination of animatronic, static and pneumatic life size figures and air scares both home made, purchased, and a combination of both. I have grown from 50 trick or treaters and using Wal-Mart and Party City props to building my own static props and pneumatic props as well as buying a number of pneumatics from Poison Props, Fright Props and Distortions Unlimited. I meant to say that in 8 years here we have grown from 50 to over 350 trick or treaters, I have been very blessed here.
I'm in the Raleigh, NC area. One disappointing thing is that many folks around here don't "do" Halloween. Guess it's a consequence of being in the Bible Belt. I've noticed that, on Halloween night, many families disappear before dark and probably head to churches. I guess they don't want their kids seeing all the cool yard haunts? Or they simply don't celebrate, e.g. front lights off. To me, Halloween is a fun secular holiday and a significant highlight from my own childhood.
