I would have to put people who lie. I'd rather someone just be straight up with me and have ruffled feathers than just blatantly lying. So all you who post on the two truths and one lie thread...stop lying!!!
LOL - Skeletor, the point of the game is to tell one lie and two truths so that people can guess which is the lie , but I do agree with you that I would rather have someone be brutally honest with me than lie about anything, especially when there is no reason to lie. You cannot fix a problem if you do not know what it is, and many relationships of all kinds end because somebody didn't bother to speak up and say what the issue was. If it had been brought to the forefront, then there may have been a way to resolve it before the relationship ended. And so many times, when it is finally brought up, it is in a fit of rage because someone has been holding onto it, only to discover that it was false the entire time. Rage festers and destroys people, and that's really sad. That's one reason why it's good to have you here. You have such a positive outlook on everything, and I appreciate it!
For me, it's people who are rude and selfish/only care about themselves. I cannot tolerate it! The sad thing is, I know far too many people like this. It really makes me want to just pack up and move and make new friends elsewhere.
I must agree miss Mandy, i have people like that at work, and it bugs me to no end, also those that for some unexplained reason think they are better and above every one else so can just be rude to them, gets on my nerves big time!
*sigh* I hear ya chickie! I have this friend...and I use the word friend very loosly. She comes from a fairly weathy family...yet she's the cheapest amongst our group of friends. She's always the first one point out when someone is being rude, yet she has no problem coming into your home and asking you if your curtains need to be washed.
What irks me on another subject, is the lack of available jobs here in California that aren't menial labor and pay well. It's very depressing...
I'm really with all of you. I've had so many people in my life that were selfish and only cared about themselves. And I too was one that wanted to run (it's the fight or flight thing, and I am no fighter - had to learn to defend myself when necessary but without being vicious and of course, never a physical altercation). And BunnyMummy, I think the economy sucks everywhere and it's just plain hard to find meaningful jobs that pay well now. I was in one for several years that paid a lot better than my teaching job, but it was boring, so I left and went back to school many years ago so that I could teach, another underpaid profession. Luckily, I've had this same job for many years and have had excellent evaluations every year, so I'm doing fine now. But I would hate to think about looking for another job now in this economy, which is probably one of the only reasons I've stayed so long.
Thanks for a laugh, Skel I agree with everyone. Liars really irk me, as do rude, self-absorbed sacks of ____ (fill in the blank). I hated my job, so I really don't care much that I got let go more recently, but I am having no luck finding another so far. People who do not stop a phone conversation when they are at the register really frustrate me, as do those who act like everyone wants to hear their 'words of wisdom'

Sorry, but as I was reading my book above about liars and relationships, I thought it was ironic that here I sit with no relationship speaking up on how to keep one, and I couldn't even keep a housemate. ROFL - thanks! I really needed a good laugh. Now it's off to grade. Who wants to help? And I'm really sorry about the job situation for those of you who don't have one and need one. I sincerely hope you find your heart's desire. I just wouldn't wish this never getting a real break nonsense on anyone.
