Hey, thanks for joining the group! Have you started on any ideas of your haunt yet, or built anything yet?
I started a small project 2 weeks ago. I bought a misting skull from Walmart after Halloween (75% off). I bought it just for the mister, which I was going to work into my daughter's 'Ms Fortune Teller' booth. I plugged in the mister and saw that the LED lights change color. Well, that isn't going to work too well in her booth. I looked at the skull and decided I would try to use the whole thing in my 'Odditorium' booth instead. I'm painting the skull like a clown and putting an orange fright wig on it. Then the color changing LED's make perfect sense. I'll post some pics when I'm done. Finn

hello we are revamping our haunt this year to the Circus of the Damned. Hope i can get some ideas from all of you. Thanks Joe
my favorite clown haunt had a crazy maze with plenty of psychedelic lights and brightly painted patterns on the walls. The crazy patterns helped conceal the small panels that were cut randomly in the walls of the maze. Clowns could suddenly open a panel and scare the sillies out of anyone nearby. I also liked the creepy clowns that would just be standing quietly in a dark corner and you almost wouldn't even see them. As you probably already know, and as I have found out from experience, it is important to have plenty of room/passageways for the actors that are without psychedelic or flashing lights so that they do not get disoriented and a splitting headache.
i did a clown maze one year. it went over big time. i had strobe lights and we painted the walls with polka dots and then painted one girl with polka dots on a white sweat outfit. i love when many clowns tumble out of a car so i rigged up a coffin and had many clowns run out of it. i had a clown beanbag game and the kids had to go into a pitch black room of glow in the dark masks and retreive the beanbag after it went through the clowns mouth.
