when hilda hit me up there should be a blow mold thread, i was surprised none of us had thought of it before. this is a great idea. andddddd, i was honored when she gave me the go ahead to start the group. so everybody, post away. lets all show and tell.
Thank you Hallorene for providing a place for decorators who like blowmolds to find each other. HF is a BIG place. It makes it easier for those of us with an affection for plastic to find each other and touch base. I know you and Gris are great enthusiasts. It'll be fun! Thank you again!

I am happy to be here! This group should be fun, most of my display is blowmolds, but hope to add to it in time.
you're welcome hilda. you know, i have a few blow molds, and i was pretty proud thinking i was unique, but you guys blow my socks off. and you know, it's kinda fun the sharing. gris, a cool cat, i like that too. yep, we're where it's happening. hermey, and a nice display it is.
Gris IS a cool cat from what I can tell! LOL I've got to light a fire under Hermey and get him to start some discussions on the technical stuff in here. He is very helpful. I know both Gris and Hermey are avid 'collectors' and are very knowedgable about history and such. I'm not into the collecting angle as much ~ creating a kid-friendly display comes first to me. There are so many different ways people enjoy using these decorations.
yes gris, this is where the cool cats hang out. i hope you post a pic of that new crow. it is vintage. hermey, i hope you don't mind i post the snowman and how to fix it. in the past i never would have touched dented, now they're open game. if anyone has questions, i hope they'll feel free to ask on here. we've got some good help here. deadfred, and addicted, you got any pics? we'd love to hear more from you. i'm into collecting, but i only want one of each. i do have 2 candles that are the same. i am painting one of those black. the red for Christmas, and the black for halloween. i'm into a kid friendly haunt, and i have a slightly scary part. last year i didn't do my haunt, although i did display my blow molds, but this year the skys the limit.
Hallo, Dedhedfred is my better half! LOL He's just a lurker when I tell him there is something he needs to look at. He's my prop builder, light hanger, wood sawer, blowmold hauler, project financer, and overall good sport! I was talking to Hermey (who is presently locked in his basement carefully pinning eggs onto things... don't ask!) and he's gonna give us some how-to threads in here as soon as his Easter Display is finished. In the meantime, Hermey suggested I put on some of my Christmas molds repurposed for Halloween in a thread. How does that sound to you?
i didn't know dedhedfred was your dead half. lol. hey, that's great he helps you. my hubby 2 years ago hung 2 out of reach bats for me. does that count? i love your repurpsed molds. sounds great to me. your candy canes, your mrs claus, and your striped Christmas bears are awesome. do it please
