Anybody know if they will observe Halloween Sunday or Saturday. My wife, who is from here, seems to think it will be Saturday.

It may depend on your particular area; the city proper, suburb or rural. Also if you have an HOA that likes to control things! We've been here for 4 years and I've never heard or read any suggestion about specific times or dates for tots. A lot of places like to do that "trunk or treat" thing, but that just seems to be in addition to going door to door from what I have observed. It's true that this is a pretty religious area, and this is the first time I've been here when Halloween fell on a Sunday, so I can't say for sure.

I'm out in the suburbs, and the tots are pretty plentiful. I'm pretty confident that Sunday will be the day we'll see a majority of our tots. I hope so anyway, cause Saturday I'll be busy getting set up. Suppose I'd better have the candy ready just in case some come a day early........

I was wondering that, and tried a while back to see if they were gonna change it. I thought they did one year here in Huntsville. I haven't heard, but hope they do not!

Did you ever find out for sure. We're in Hoover and our neighborhood is going to ToT on Sunday. There was an article in the Birmingham News on Monday about some municipalities encouraging ToT on Saturday. Hopefully we can take our daughter out both days somewhere. Double Dip!

These two articles I found might help you guys:

Looks like there's a lot of conflicting advice. I know we'll have our porch lights on both nights!
