3rd skellie arrived yesterday - I'm stoked - this is my first REAL Halloween purchase of something that I haven't made myself. These are great -- besides having trouble getting the screws in the legs to fit through the pelvis -- plus I never realized how heavy these puppies are.

No...that's not fully correct. At least not in every case. I can only speak for myself.

My order was done early in summer...directly with Mr. Skeleton. I am not a dealer and never purchased from them before. When I placed the order, I posted payment up front and I expected delivery. Jeff at Mr. Skeleton knew I was private customer and not a dealer. When nothing arrived...I waited patiently....nothing arrived. I think it was August when I complained. I was informed it would be fulfilled in September. So I waited some more...thinking I had already waited long past the paypal time to protest. Then like everyone else I was given the weepy story of how nobody was supposed to be in on this dealer purchase and it was all China's fault for bad shipping.

At the same time the thread started touting how they were going to start a wonderful supply chain to the private customer as an offshoot e-store. Eventually more explanations on how product would deliver late October if lucky. Maybe not even for this season and we should be okay with that because the dealers understand that kind of crappy service and if they are okay with that, we should be as well. Basically...folks posting orders in June-July pretty much should realize they are purchasing for next October, not the one that is still three months away.

No apologies. Just a tedious letter about how we should all expect such poor service because the dealers for Mr. Skeleton are used to that.

"only the complaining individual buyers have posted negatively."

.....no kidding. When I hear about October delivery, I told him I was fed up and wanted a refund. I was told it would be there. No refund came. I later had to complain a second time....where's my refund? Finally a refund came.

I'll leave this post for you to read...after a few days, I'll edit it. Regardless of the circumstances...my money was refunded.

    Hello all

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

Following up on the group buy:

We’ve learned some valuable lessons that stemmed from commingling the dealer buy with individual purchasers. While we willingly incorporated individuals that came through requests and forum chatter what we miscalculated was the expectation gap between the two very different sets of buyers. Good lessons learned that we can take forward.

Overall, we filled 126 orders, 62 or so were to individuals, none of whom were direct customers of MrSkeleton. Statistically, with half of such a large block being individuals, numerical probability alone suggests that some would have issues or some problem that was beyond the scope of our dealer normal. We refunded 3 buyers with [timetable issues] but shipped about 220 skeletons at 69.00 per unit to 59 individual happy end-user customers.

While there were a few unhappy participants, the overwhelming success of the trial buy means that we will definitely offer advanced group buys in the future but all automated and through the new website.

Thanks go out to all those who supported our efforts and brought sensible balance to the few otherwise negatively toned posts. We have every sense to feel that our collective efforts netted an overall positive result and assisted to further our brand in a positive manner.

To those who expressed some upset, our apologies for any misunderstanding. You’ll always stand as invited to participate alongside the scores of others to whom we’ve provided a valuable service.

    Regards,

    Jeff Nix

    MR. SKELETON JEFF NIX,

PLEASE RETURN MY MONEY. YOU HAVE OWED ME $138.00 SINCE THIS GROUP BUY. I have been pretty nice and pleasant about this. My patience has ended. You do not return my emails to either of your gmail accounts. Nor did you respond to my facebook messages.

I am now forced to give you public shame as a bad merchant.
