    Hi,

I've been looking all over for a source to buy the flickering type LED's they use in tealight candles and finally found one...here in the U.S. even. I also see that they can special order UV LED's and would like to get some but the minimum special order is 500 pieces at .30 each. I only need about 150 and was wondering if anyone else would be interested in the remainder. I'm happy to put in the order and mail them out if I can sell the rest off.

I'm willing to buy the lot first and then sell them once they're here. I have a verified PayPal account for transactions.

Maybe you should see if you can get a sample first. The UV LEDs I got with my LED group buy were not very bright at all. They may not be useful for whatever project you have in mind. Also maybe a flicker circuit with regular LEDs would be easier than custom ordering the bulbs, but flicker circuit boards aren't as common these days. I had been planning on making some red and blue flicker tealights but I found that the lights nowadays tend to have flicker bulbs, while older tealights usually had flicker circuits. I haven't bought the Walmart ones yet, I'll have to see what's inside those.

If you are looking for cheap LED tea lights, I have been using these.
Their everyday price is $1 for a package of three. If you dont have a Dollar Tree near you, you can order a case of them for $48. (A case holds 48 of the three packs, so quick math says $146 plus shipping).
THese will fit nicely into PVC, and make a real convincing candle...

That's not bad for pricing over here for UV led's. However, you should check this out... http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-5mm-2-Pi...item20beb998e7

I've dealt with this guy several times in the past, and these are the ultra brights @ 5K mcd, & 395-405nm wavelength. $4.88 per 100, without resistors...but free shipping. Now, for the negative: shipping time in transit is roughly 17-45 days (mostly dependent on U.S. Customs speed of processing at the port of entry). Anyway, it's a good deal cheaper than anything else you can get nearly anywhere. Bulk wholesale pricing available to the public is a great thing.

Btw, before anyone chimes in about keeping the money in the local economy, remember this. All of the manufacturers of LED's are in Asia/IndoAsia, to the best of my knowledge. There is simply no sense in lining the pockets of some greedy middle man, when in the end, the same portion of your money ends up in the same place anyway.
