Buyer beware as with anything!

So sorry to hear how many of you never got anything from him. I got mine about a month after he said they shipped the first time, and I guess I was one of the first to receive the crackers...

I'm not positive, but, I think this post has received the most views!

I was hoping to get some positive feedback from you folks that lost money.........

My point exactly Tumble. I was hoping to get some positive feedback from the folks that lost money and got some degree of satisfaction from further actions. The moderators and Larry maintain a great site for us Halloween junkies here. I've had post removed concerning my comments on this topic here and was warned, all justified. What's-his-name screwed a lot of folks, and probably will continue to do so. I have to tap-dance here a little..... Halloweenforum has banned this gentleman from posting or doing any business here. That's the best they can do, it's not their problem. I've tried to get folks to PM me and deal with the issue offsite with no response. I got my product, but can sympathize with the ones that lost money and might have lost confidence in the great folks on this forum. Someone started a thread earlier about getting info together on this issue. I pm'ed him/her with no response. PM me please and let's get this issue offline.

I lost my money with this guy, but I don't think he planned to rip everyone off. He got screwed by an unscrupulous supplier, probably got screwed on double shipping bad parts, then panicked, started lying and dug a hole he couldn't get out of. Where he blew it - besides lying - is was not stepping up and making everyone whole, regardless of what it cost him.

I'm sure your intentions are the best, and I can't speak for anyone else, but I've already lost all the time, money and anger I intend to on this group buy ... or any other group buy.

I agree LT, that's probably the case. The issue is best just dropped. I have no intentions one way or the other.

Just wanted to post some good news as there hasn't been much on this thread lately.
Yesterday my doorbell rang and when I got to the front door, I discovered a box from Tyler. Low and behold my entire order which included 2 flash crackers, 2 plates and some lights, was inside. Granted I did have to file a claim with my credit card company but he did come through.
Hopefully he's getting things sorted out and more packages will be arriving for those that are still waiting.

Just got my second updated post email of today - must be that time of year where people pick up their tools, dust off the cobwebs and start planning for Halloween!

I can't believe this is all still rumbling along! I also can't believe you just got your order! I guess there's hope here for others, but I dare say a lot of people have been seriously scared off anymore group buys.

I hope not, because I think practically all previous group buys (aside from this guy) completed ok and it seems a shame that one bad egg can potentially have such a detrimental effect on the HF community here. I think it's natural for people to be cautious from now on, but let's hope this year things pick up in a positive way.

So come on everyone, only 269 days to go!!!
