Every year we have a Halloween party, this year was no different...however, I need to figure something out for next year! My husband and I have several friends, but seems like at our parties they arrive and leave in shifts. No one ever stays from beginning to end. So there are some down times when there are only a few people, then you turn around and there are 15 people standing in our living room. I am already thinking about next years Halloween. I have a few theme ideas (superstitions, phobias and so forth) Any suggestions on how I can get more people involved and excited to come and STAY next year!? When do you start decorating and sending out invitations? This year we had a few f our friends had parties the same night as ours, even after it is well-known that we have a party the weekend before Halloween for the past 5 years. (plus they had more people and it looked funner, even though my decorations were wayyyy better!) We also attempted to have kids this year for the first time and that was a huge fail!!! The kids were scared of the decorations, the parents didn't drink because they brought their kids and a lot of the people didn't know each other which made it uncomfortable. Hopefully someone gets something out of what I am asking. Your help is appreciated and I look forward to being a part of this forum more throughout this year in preparation of Halloween 2011!

You should have your friends help you, so they'll stay from beginning to end to see what people will say about your party..just a rough thought.
