I take down my decorations... our city has some crazy rule that all Halloween decorations have to be down by November 1st
I upload my pics for the night
and then I check out the forum to see how everyone else's night wentDarkness has a hunger that's insatiable
And lightness has a call that's hard to hear- E.A. Saliers

I drank a shot of Crystal Skull vodka while standing on the deck of my haunted pirate ship....
!
Thank ye matey, from the bottom of me scurvy heart......"One Eye'd" Mick
The ships' doctor warned me that I've been partaking in too much wine, women and song and told me that I should cut back a bit.........I am really going to miss the singing.....

hot tea and cake!
Life is too short to not do what makes us happy, keeps us sane, or both.

hot buttered rum here. Enjoyed the set-up but am looking forward to improving it every year. I did remove some key decorations on the car and brought in the fogger an stereo.

I stand in the back garden and watch the sky for 5 minutes, it's become something of a Halloween tradition for me, don't really know why I do it.
The steeples are white in the wild moonlight,
And the trees have a silver glare;
Past the chimneys high see vampires fly,
And harpies of upper air. That flutter, laugh and stare.

I always take the day after Halloween off from work.
I stay up until dawn on November the 1st. Around four or five in the morning when there are no more specials, movies or music for the season on cable, I sit here online under the watchful grins of my indoor Jack O' Lanterns until dawn, listening to my own music collection turned low so as not to disturb the wife.
I go outside when the sky begins to brighten, make sure the light in the outdoor Jack is off, thank the old gourd for his steadfast guarding of the property, tell him I'll see him next year and I drag myself to bed, usually humming a gruesome tune.
