So What was totally awesome and what was epic fail?
My coffin chiller worked wonderfully and the bubble fogger was a big hit. My peeker was great as was my tree. Sadly the rising reaper and the hovering ghost didn't even last an hour, the reaper would not spring up and the hovering ghost just sat there and the lights would blink off and on. Also the musical tombstones I got at wallgreens never went off once, only if I physically got up and touched them would they go. So no more cheap mass produced props for me!

My lurching vampire bit the bullet, but my geist girl and life-size Jason were a success.

My reaper quit within the first 30 minutes. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

My bubble fogger and big bubble machine are always a big hit. The biggest success was the 3D elements that I put into my garage haunt. People were raving about it!

Well so far my witches made an impression on the children....so that was good. The set up was a little difficult but I got it done with help. But I ran out of money so the kind of lighting I wanted didn't happen and my flying crashed witch never got out of the house. That was my only dissappiontment. But on and all it was a pretty good halloween.
The only downfall of Halloween is it only happens once a year.

I'm going to guess that your musical tombstone was in a dark place. A lot of those motion sensor props need to have a beam of light onthem and then when the beam is broken, the prop works. I started using a flashlight last night to trigger the props that weren't directly in line with some alternate light source, like a flood light.

My (Target) rising reaper worked great and popped up to scare alot thru the night. I was very happy with it.
Our only problem was handing out too much stuff and not enough hands to do it. The kids turn to run after the first item hits the bag and we had 4 more coming.
