Personally I plan on embellishing what I already have...so this means I will be buying new props which always get me excited for the next year.
The only downfall of Halloween is it only happens once a year.

    I had 2 Tots lol
The saturday/sunday thing screwed things up in my area I think.
No one really knew WHEN to tot so I think a lot of ppl just went to carnivals and such.
I really didnt have much to show this year anyway. But I look at tomorrow as a fresh start on next year's big day! Can't wait to see what the clearance fairy brings tomorrow.

Went thru 18 bags of candy. The kids came in large groups w/ parents in tow.Good night no breeze at all. Mild temp. and a lot of praise for my set up. A couple of the parents were thinking I setup for saturday. I set them straight. Halloween is Oct. 31st and only the 31st. so help me god. Had some family come over and we had a great time.

I kinda fall off the Halloween boat shortly into November, forget about it for until the next year. Then I get hit with it hard again September, October again.

Only about 14 TOTers here tonight. Got some nice compliments from both neighbors and TOTing parents about my yard decorations. No pics, though. (Sadly, forgot to charge my camera. By the time I remembered, it was already dark - and my phone is basically useless for nighttime shots.)

Placed three cutouts/silhouettes of a Skeleton, a Witch and a Frankenstein's Monster, along with a lighted groundbreaker Skeleton, on our small front yard. Set a cheap, store-bought foam tombstone next to all of them. Also, a faux wooden arrow sign reading "Spooky Graveyard" (which I had picked up the day before on a whim, at Walgreens.)

Lighted the tombstones and graveyard sign with the blue LED clip-ons (from Jack's Tool Shed), and the figures with green LED clip-ons. Just used 4-inch wooden dowels to stick into the ground. The LEDs illuminated the various props quite well.

Didn't have time to carve any new pumpkins this season. (Coming off a solid month of 70 hour work-weeks.) But reused the three foam ones that I already have on a table inside our front windows. Posed a 3' skeleton sitting on one corner of the table, along with a raven sitting atop a foam skull in the middle.

Behind the table, I draped a wooden screen with black felt and hung a basic sheet ghost, which was lighted from below with a blacklight. The effect was nicely visible from the sidewalk.

All in all, I'm pleased enough with how it all turned out. Even though I waited until Sunday morning to set-up outside, on account of the high winds that we'd been having.

Next year's agenda: More jack-o'-lanterns. A cemetery fence. Maybe even a FCG.
