aww poor pumpkin lol had good faces with them too lol ..... i usually leave mine to slowly rot( uncarved pumpkin) away, last year i had done the same and a pumpkin vine grew this year but pumpkins came unless the animals ate it lol

I chop mine up into small pieces with the shovel and throw them in our yard waste cart. I leave the pumpkins out until Thanksgiving though... its all "harvest"... who cares if they have a face on them.
