Does it seem improper to tell TOT's ( the older ones) "No costume no candy" I guess if you want the candy put some effort into it. Am I out of line? (Oh I also hand out full size candy bars.)
    Was that the boogyman?

Hey, like the Swinging Neckbreakers song says, "No Costume, No Candy!" (Well, okay, I'm pretty much a pushover... I used to buy masks for the poorest kids who'd come to my house when I lived in the District of Columbia...)

    I agree

    Easier than cleaning up TP
    Cheaper than fixing broken props

Plus you never know why someone doesn't have a costume

    -Super Poor?
    -Religious Parents?

And you never want to be the person that ruins someone's halloween

That's exactly what I've done for the past several years.

Your candy is equal to the level of effort you put into this. Cute kids also get bonus points

so poor kids, kids with uninvolved parents, and ugly kids get less candy/no candy?

    That seems really unfair!

I’m talking about the ones that are in high school, the ones that have there kids in costume with them and think just because they are holding a bag to they deserve something . Halloween is about the kids! Last year I had over 220 bonified costume wearing kids and a couple a dozen non compliant that got penny candy. The costumed kids get a rather large gold chocolate coin from the pirate (me) I ran out of the 220 coins I bought and had to hand some of the penny candy’s out to kids in costume but of course they got a hand full.

I have regular candy and then better candy for those who make the effort.
