Moved Trick or treating to the 30th, which sucked. We had a ton of small kids who were too afraid of the display, then later at night, tons of hoodlums not in costume...and get this....one boy about 16yrs old decided it would be a good idea to backhand me. Bad idea....REALLY bad idea. He was lifted off his feet and carried by his shirt to his momma who was waiting in their car, she proceeded to whoop the heck out of him. Overall was too much set up for too many younger kids, and not worth doing it for the rude hoodlums.

Hum.... this sucks..... But it will be better next year..... hang in there!

GAHHH that stinks. Every year so far I have been lucky. The littles ones have been good and the teens always very respectfull.

I have NO idea what to expect from kids in this new neighborhood. It's a nice hood, but I heard that tons of kids from "out of the s/d" come in. My haunt is super simple this year... to close shop, I just close the garage doors.

For once I don't have to worry about getting my stuff inside before the jerks show up late!

wow ..a kid backhand you?? At least his Mom didnt threaten to call the cops on YOU for "escorting him" to the car..which is what would have happened around here (although she brobably would have beat him later when no one else could see)

Similar situation here without the 16 year old. Had it yesterday. Didn't have the turn out that I wanted. And, mostly smaller kids. I make it a habit to not scare the tar out of toddlers. I did have a few who wanted pictures with me and in my graveyard. But overall, not what I wanted. Sorry to hear that you may have a new candidate for a corpse next year. It's that crap that is killing us.
