Do yall think it would be better to have the trick or treaters just walk up through the drive way or do u guys think we should make a pathway through our yard for the trick or treaters to walk through? The reason I ask is because me and my brother have a lot of cords and lights and stuff running all through the yard and we dont want anybody to trip over them. Also some props we dont want people to touch or mess with. Were probably going to have about 30 extension chords. 4 fog machines, 15 strobe lights, flood lights, stringed lights, 6 flame latern lights, and a lot of animated props and decorations. So as of right now the plan is to have them walk through our cemetery gate and were going to put rebar and put pvc over the rebar to make a path with a caution tape for the railing running through the yard. Theres going to be scenes set up. I THINK WHAT I WROTE MIGHT BE CONFUSING. LOL. but what u guys think just walk up through drive way and forget the path way or just do the pathway.

also do any of u guys or gals put signs up around the neighborhoods for people to come to ur house. never done it before but was thinking about it. we dont have any idea how many t o t 'ers there are going to be this year.

    thankyou

We have a lighted archway we put at the bottom of the yard & then sectioned off the rest of the yard with Danger & Caution tape. That way the kids have to come up the middle of the yard. The driveway/sidewalk connection is a tripping hazard, so I don't want them using the driveway. Just safer that way....

I have a marked off path through the yard (with stakes and garland that shines clearly with the slightest amount of light) and access to the front walkway. The ToTs have a choice of which way to enter but have to leave down the walkway to avoid traffic jams in the yard haunt. If they went up the walkway but want to enter the haunt afterward, I tell them to start at the beginning.

I keep the extension cords, plugs, and all that good stuff outside of the pathway to ensure maximum safety.

I was pretty annoyed by kids just traipsing through the yard last year. I have got a ton of cable in a nasty spider web of a mess out there and these little idiots just go storming through the yard because they are too lazy to go to the driveway. So this year I got some actual "Police line do not cross" tape that I'll string up along the front of the yard. I just have them walk up the driveway.

No path where there's tripping hazards. If you can use archest to get the chords up and over the path, it can work, otherwise, you'll end up with damaged props and/or injured kids.

I suggest doing a path right up to the door. It's to much reliabilty if someone get's hurt.
halloween is a super cool holiday.
